"Landmines of Crazy"

Something funny, the internet makes people very, very brave. The amount of chutzpah is AMAZING online! There was a comment about how someone would do X-Y-Z in an A-B-C situation.

You know? There are people in this world I call "Landmines of Crazy". What that mean is certain people are certifiably dangerous. As in extreme tempers with extreme violence, with no regard to human life.

As "big and bad" as people claim, sometimes? You just need to walk away. Yes, I carry a weapon, and I am a big guy... but walk the hell away. You don't need that trouble, you do not know that stranger, you do not know what he/she is capable, and you will indeed run upon someone meaner, faster, harder, and crazier than you...

Don't let your pride/ego get you killed.

And if something happens where you accidentally set off a "Landmine of Crazy"? Nuke it. Don't try to reason, don't try to cajole, don't try to calm them down. Determine they mean you harm, and just make them go room temperature. THEN call your LAWYER... Just sayin'... I go "grayman" as much as I can, but I have seen these "Landmines of Crazy" lately, and avoid them like the plague.

I would say the internet/computers makes people stupid. It doesn't take a brave person to say something to someone online that they'd never dream of saying to their face. It's just plain stupid.

Walking away is the best advice. Lack of confrontation increases your odds of staying above-ground significantly.

Sometimes, the tough guys at the keyboards are funny. Especially in chat rooms. Every now and then, I like to poke them with a stick.

Since the day I started carrying, I am way better at walking away from situations without worrying about my masculinity. After a few months I understood the phrase "an armed society is a polite society".

Not only that Tommy... But don't mistake kindness for weakness. Just because you walked away, people may say you are weak or a coward, but you know that you walked away to spare someone's life. No shame there.

But yea, Rev. Whole lotta crazy out there. I think that's why those of us who do carry, do carry.
