Here is what happens when the police don’t feel that the local government has their back, they’re afraid and concerned that they will be arrested for making a minor mistake.

The bridge between the Baltimore city government & the police hasn’t been burned it’s been dynamited. During this month of May, (and it isn’t over yet) arrests are down by 58% and this town’s murder rate, 38 for this month is the highest since 1996.

You can’t blame the police, there has been reports that when they’ve go out to a disturbance they have been surrounded by upwards of 40 people keeping them from trying to do their job and they are being reactive other than being proactive in their duties and are second guessing everything they do, all because they feel that the local government won’t back them up.

I think the LEO's are doing the right thing. Fallback and let the people start to miss the PD. When they start to realize that the crime rates are going up and wonder why the bad guys are still walking the streets, they will be begging for more of a police presence.

There are several common elements in the MW (Ferguson, Mo), Baltimore, Md. and Cleveland, Oh, Olympia, Wa, and events in other locations.

First you won't be able to agree on who is the perpetrator or the the victim.

Everyone wants justice - good guy, bad guy and It is also the problem.

Law Abidiing citizens view justice as being served when someone is indicted, properly tried applying the laws and a verdict is reached by the jury. And most Americans accept this practice.

Protesters only view justice as when anyone against their agenda is indicted, declared guilty (not by trial but usually the media, social forums, politicians seeking recognition) regardless of their true guilt, innocents or involvement. They don't want the truth to interfere with their feelings. Anything to the contrary entices the rioters to loot and they feel justified in doing so. They hide under bandanas, hoods, etc as they know they are wrong in what they are doing. They feel no justice has been served therefore they seek their own justice. And it may be totally unrelated to the events and include more victims that cannot fix the problems.
