Number of LEOs in largest 100 US cities (2010)

An article I was reading about Washington, DC and it's anti-self protection Police Chief Cathy Lanier caused me to recall that Washington has the largest number of LEOs per capita of any city in the US. That caused me to find this:
Law Enforcement Officers Per Capita for Cities, Local Departments

For some reason the numbers in the last two columns are reported as per 10k of population instead of the more normal per 100k. That makes the numbers appear to be one tenth of what I expected to see. I had read before that Washington had well over 600 LEOs/100k.

I've pulled the information from that site and pasted it into an Excel workbook.
If anyone is interested or later (when it's not 0330) I'll list the top ten cities here.

OBTW: The article that triggered this was about the latest USSC ruling concerning Washington's concealed carry permit rules/laws.

My error! Not USSC ruling. A US District Court ruling.

Why can't you edit your post here? Is there a minimum post count you have to have before you can edit?

Nope, a maximum time limit of how long after it is posted. Something sticks in my head, 30 minutes. It means you can't go in and alter the original post after someone asks a question or two, which then makes the asker look like an idiot...
