That lawyer and that mayor are offensive. They should be removed in the same way.

They have been pulling this crap. You have a right ( unless it offends someone) to be proud of your heritage.

If someone thinks the confederate flag represents slavery they really need a history lessons. Most of the men wearing the gray did not even own slaves.

The guy "removed" the flags and took them to the police station.

Then he asked what law he broke. "Removed" is listed as a voilation. What is his problem with understanding?

A truth plenty don't want to acknowledge. As well as many other facts concerning the time period. But hell...... why let the truth get in the way. Much easier, & politically advantageous to just tell the story & all of it's meanings the way they want.

I'm fairly sure that "hate" is part of human nature, if something or someone is not the same as you you're going to hate it. So to borrow what has been said countless times on the interwebz "hater's gonna hate"!

As for this, don't the flags belong to the owner of the grave site? Or at least the person who placed them? I don't think this is a matter of offense but desecration of the graves and that SOB that removed them should pay the price!
