www.ammoseek.com is pretty good too, it's just a price aggregater but it has good filters.

http://ammoseek.com/ and http://www.gunbot.net/ are online utilities that will search dealers inventory (not sure how but to indicate if in stock - probably dealer signs up to be included and provides such information) and you can order the returned listing by price per round, mfg, defense, hunting, etc which is useful.

I have bought online but prefer to check prices online and buy at a local gun-show if they are competitive to avoid shipping costs which can be $25.00 or so. If you factor in shipping you can pay a bit more locally and get them "same day".

Freedom Munitions has free shipping specials about 3-4 times a year. I usually stock up when they do. Great ammo and great service.

During the ammo shortage after Sandy Hook, Freedom Munitions was not overcharging for ammunition. I used to buy reloads from another place, but they increased their prices by at least 50 percent, so I stopped buying from them and switched to Freedom, at least for my bulk ammunition (9mm and 223).

I, too, am a Freedom Munitions customer.
They make an excellent product.

This is one of the biggest reasons I still trade them money for stuff.

If anything, the only thing that could use improvement is speed of shipping. Regular shipping seems like it ships once a week. Then again, I live on the other side of the country from where it's sent, so it does take a little while.

I agree. At the height of the ammo shortage, it would take a month to get the ammo. Lately it's been a bit better, but it still takes about two weeks.

If you have ever order from Palmetto State their shipping is slow as well. Spoiled by Amazon prime.

I just ordered some 77gr 556 from Palmetto state on saturday and got it tuesday but I do live a lot further south of the Mason-Dixon Line then some of you guys....
