Oh, but they are. I have little to no faith in young people to understand anything about our history unless it is in their own self-interest to know it. If it isn't on MTV, South Park, the scandal sheets in the grocery checkout line, they don't know it.

Oh I'm in an online argument with a couple Millenials from GMU talking about poverty.
Um. You've never BEEN poor! You have never WORKED OUTTA poverty! And you only have THEORY, not FACTS, or EXAMPLES!
They cannot understand Poverty is a condition, like a disease that you can indeed "cure". You just have to take up the mantle, and put on your "big boy" pants, and make the sacrifice. They will fail. Their entire lives lost because they actually believe "You cannot escape poverty".

This is why the DEMs win elections, they promise to take care of this type of people. Why work went the Gov will take care of you. Someday maybe they will understand that someone has to work to pay wa to much taxes to support them. One can hope.
