Not really. If those in power are trying to sell a falsehood, then you undermine their power by telling the truth.

I was thinking more along the lines of the stupid.
People often seem to think that a bad person cannot do anything good and cannot do anything brilliant.
I think Al J is simply being honest with the thought that if they tell the truth it will cause us to its bad and then we will try to stop the same.
