Governor McAuliffe has signed two gun bills into law so far. He still has until the end of month to act on the other bills.

These bills have been signed and will become effective on July 1:

SB 1191 - Senator Norment - adds the word "knowingly" to the law on carrying a firearm onto school property. This will prevent someone who has **accidentally** brought a gun on school property from being charged with a felony. (Guns can legally be brought onto school property as long as the gun is: 1) is in a vehicle, and 2) stays in the vehicle, and 3) is stored in the vehicle in certain specific manners.)

HB 1666 - Delegate Fowler - fixes an inequity in Virginia law so that someone who no longer lives in Virginia can get their gun rights restored in a Virginia court.

I will advise as the fate of the other gun bills becomes known.

I bet he hated that. It was probably worse than that time he signed his soul away.

Sure. My general assumption is that soulless people got to be soulless by selling, or otherwise trading, their souls.

My, ain't you a charitable soul. Feller once told me you should be careful in politics lest when you turn the other cheek to a scoundrel he should take the opportunity to spread 'em.

He's still a diehard politician at heart. He'll go along to get along, until the wind is blowing in his favor.

The Gov can now say he is pro firearm without upsetting his base. Next step is to push for "reasonable"gun laws since he is pro gun..smoke and mirrors?
