ABC arrested a fake ID carrier last night.. The 20 year old student apparently resisted and got banged up. Only a matter of time till the victim industry mobilizes.

I was watching this story on the news at work. The guy was already drunk and refused entry to a bar/club because he had a fake ID. Started a big commotion and the police were called. The police were not originally going to arrest him, but the kid started getting belligerent and aggressive. They tried to restrain him... thinking a night in the drunk tank might do him some good, and this dummy starts fighting with the police.

You know Al Charlatan... sorry, I mean Sharpton, is gonna be hear any minute. The college kids are already protesting about the racist abuse by the big bad white police men.

What a joke.

Yep, even governor McDumbazz has called for an investigation. The punk was caught on camera calling the cops racist.

Hopefully there is some video. The Virginia ABC is probably "going down" without some sort of proof. They are still stinging from the fiasco from a couple years ago.

I would fathom to say he would be decidedly uncomfortable even THIS far South! Especially in "Crispy White Charlottesville".

There is some edited video that does not show the pre-takedown encounter, the takedown, or how the student was actually injured. What it does show is the kind screaming that he goes to I've, and when several choruses of that yield no change in police activity, he starts yelling that they are racists.

The "concerned black students" and the BSA are the real racists here - as usual. It must be awful going through life believing that you are always a victim.

I hadn't heard or seen any press coverage to the effect that the guy had a fake ID, although all the press coverage carefully tiptoes around that issue. The linked article quotes an eyewitness as saying “there was some discrepancy about his ID”.

Maybe it was excessive police force; maybe not. But racism? Cops in college towns in Virginia have been arresting college students for fake IDs for a long time, and that local cops persecute UVa students has been known and accepted as a fact of life since my Pappy was a student there in the 1940s.

So he’s on the Honor Committee. I wonder if that fake ID, by contemporary standards, falls under the rule that “UVa students will not lie, cheat or steal, nor tolerate those who do”. Back in my day, when there were no restrictions on student use of alcohol and the had a reputation as a drinking school, it might have been viewed as an exception to the "don't lie" rule for procuring intoxicants. Given today's puritanical regulation of alcohol use on the grounds, I wonder what might happen.

C. Any person found guilty of a violation of this section shall be guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor; and upon conviction, (i) such person shall be ordered to pay a mandatory minimum fine of $500 or ordered to perform a mandatory minimum of 50 hours of community service as a condition of probation supervision and (ii) the license to operate a motor vehicle in the Commonwealth of any such person age 18 or older shall be suspended for a period of not less than six months and not more than one year;......"

Resisting arrest is also a Class 1 misdemeanor.

Answer is yes. ABC agents are specifically granted arrest authority by statute. Can't remember where, but I remember reading it in the Code of Virginia.

I hope all the facts come out too and I hope some good police officers do NOT lose their jobs over this.

The "Hands up, don't shoot" phrase turned out to be a fabricated lie from the person who started it - Michael Brown's buddy Dorian Johnson. Why does it come out at the UVA College? Why is there national publicity of this event?

Martese Johnson is under age to enter the bar by Va laws. They don't seem to want any laws to apply to them...just run free.

From what I have gathered from various sites:
1. He was refused entry into an Irish pub and became belligerent. Irish pub called police.
2. When police got there he was witnessed being belligerent and drunk. One officer lead him by the arm off to the side.
3. Mr. Honor roll called the cop all sorts of names and then tried to pull away. That is when they took him down and cuffed him.

Had this idiot not been breaking the law while drunk he would not have face planted.

All of this is part of Obama's plan to bring all police under Federal jurisdiction which is scary as hell.
