LEO's wife shoots intruder in NN

Earlier this week a James City County's LEO wife shot an intruder in Newport News. He broke in through and window and was shot after rushing the woman who was on the phone with 911 at the time. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Her husband had left for work about 5 minutes earlier. Commonwealth's attorney is reviewing the case to see if any charges will be filed against her. You go Girl!

I wonder if the house was targeted because it was a police officer's house? Maybe someone looking to steal weapons and thought no one was home after watching the LEO leave. Or maybe a former suspect the officer arrested and the guy was looking for some kind of revenge?

I wonder if I know that particular officer? JCC is my old stompin' grounds.
There's a reason that Newport News is referred to as Bad News. I nearly got mugged there, myself.
Glad things worked out well for the officers wife.

Why would the CA consider filing charges against HER?
They should be considering the size of the monetary award to be given for her inconvenience.

My guess, because she's white and he's not... so it must be a racial thing.
