Hmmm.... Read about this and called my by-the-case guy to see if I could pick up some .223 or 5.56. Out. No surprise.

You think this has any chance of passing?
http://www.breitbart.com/big-government ... late-ammo/
Probably even if it gets thru Congress, it will be vetoed.

If it happens, it will be by Executive Action. Speaker Boehner and the GOP have already shown how easily they will fold when it comes to counteracting anything the President does.

personally I think O has his money tied up into guns and ammo stock. Ever since he has been in office they have skyrocketed because of his actions.

Kelu, its posturing. Congress isn't going to do anything, and if they do, Barry will Veto it.

Is it ALL 5.56? Just greentip?
If it's ALL 5.56? Good luck! That's a rather potent varmint caliber!

Right now it is just the green tip. But it opens pandoras box.
I was at Gander Mtn over the weekend and witnessed multiple people buying carts, and i mean carts, full of cases of whatever was left at .60+ cents per round. And not just green tip. All AR rounds.
It is completely unfounded based on the original ATF ruling since most all rifle ammo will pierce soft body armor. The original ATF law was strictly limited to pistol ammunition.

Remember the warning about slippery slopes. ATF says a rifle is shoulder fired and a pistol is not. Hoards start taking the stock off their rifles and call it a pistol to get around SBR laws, now rifle ammo is pistol ammo.
People at large are so stupid, they can't tell that a win is really a horrible loss.
Every single time the Left "gives" us something, its because they figured out another way to take it back and then some more. Not because they suddenly had a change of heart.
I wouldn't be shocked if they expected the whole AR SBR/Pistol work-around and wrote the law they way they did... hoping for it to go down the way it did.

Looks like its time to write our Congressmen. If that doesn't work... what are Federal Recall procedures?
I don't understand how time and time again our government employees repeatedly violate the law and have zero repercussions.

It's because they have the power to make your life hell, until somebody is willing to stand up to them.

The Declaration of Independence seems to be a good blueprint for Federal Recall Procedure, if you ask me.

Wow! They must have gotten a serious ear full for them to publicly post that. I still think we're screwed and the original PDF shows their true intent.
That's okay, the rule doesn't say "we" can't make them for personal use, does it?
