I didn't watch the Oscars. I knew how they would go...

But a COMPLETE SHUT OUT OF "AMERICAN SNIPER"!?!?

I saw Grownassed men fighting tears coming out of that movie, I didn't see that in "BIRDMAN"!!!

If Marvel Studios didn't have me addicted to their movies like a crack monkey, I probably wouldn't go to the movies anymore.

Nah.... it wasn't a complete shut out...... American Sniper won the Oscar for best "Sound Editing"

Birdman was a B movie at best....... It was a snub to Eastwood, & all the non liberal movie goers out there. AS was a great movie imo.

I didn't even know the Oscars show was on, and didn't give a damn. Bunch of liberal idiots patting each other on the back for shoving their lib-porn propaganda down the throats of the public. I don't care if they never make another movie.

American Sniper is one of the best flicks to come out of Hollywood in a long time. I went to see it with W2B, my parents, and my son. We all really enjoyed it.

Oscars are meaningless, anyway.

No plot - just a lot of "soft=porn"-style shots of nekkid folks rubbing up agin' each other. basically just disgusting crap about people who confuse pain with pleasure. Haha. When we watched the Sniper movie last weekend, I went in to go buy all the tickets while I waited for my parents to get to the theater.

When they showed up, I told them that Sniper was sold out, so I bought the last 5 available seats for 50 Shades.

Had that been true, they would have turned around and gone home, lol.

I let out a "wow" when I heard Sniper got snubbed, but can't say I'm surprised. That movie rubs a lot of Hollywood liberals the wrong way, but I'm sure they liked all that money it brought in. It was the first movie to get me out to the theater with my wife in over a year.

Hollywood commies haven't seen a dollar from me in over a decade, and never will. There has never in history been such a bunch of undeserving, vacuous hypocrites in a position of influence in society - and yes, I'm including the Chinese imperial court and the reign of Louis XVI.

I'm not trying to step on toes but I've seen bits and pieces of American Sniper and it looked like a crap movie to me. Sorry but I have no taste for certain types of movies, such as but not limited to true story movies, lovey dovey movies, and anything that looks like it was filmed on a camcorder. I watch movies to get away from reality and drama, not to pay 20 bucks a head to see more of it.

The Oscars, Grammys and the Nobel Peace Prize are always political soapboxes that promote global socialist agendas and legitimacy be damned...

I don't think you'd be stepping on anyone's toes, but I think there's a difference between a movie that just doesn't interest you and a crap (low quality) movie. Judging by your post I'd say you meant the former. I'd say the quality was there both from a directing perspective and from Bradley Cooper's performance (best I've ever liked from him) which is why a lot of people are surprised at the snub.

I thought American Sniper was a great movie. One of the few I've seen at a theater in the last few years, & almost felt like it was worth the price of admission. More of a jab at the ridiculous prices at theaters.

Sad that Clint wasn't recognized for a fantastic piece of work. Surely one of his last, & one deserving of some accolades imo.
