I'm sure he was a good boy, and was trying to turn his life around. He was probably doing this to raise money for his college education.

Good on the pharmacist for saving his fellow taxpayers money in court and prison costs.

That's why it's called the taxpayer relief shot.

Man... I love it. I had to have watch that video 15 times. Even the very first time, I could tell who the bad guy was as soon as he came on camera out in the lot. Glad that pharmacist was paying attention.

I do feel bad for the other pharmacist who had a handgun discharged directly behind his head. I'm sure that was loud and the hot brass hitting him in the neck/head will get him moving. I'm sure, compared to being shot by a bad guy, its not a problem though.

Here's another link to that incident. Can anyone tell what gun the perp used?

I was wondering the same thing. Not just the caliber, but the type too. JHP, FMJ, etc?

He fired 4 shots in the video. The report says one round hit the weapon. That would tell me that he landed at least 2 rounds before the robber turned to get away. One looks like it hit the robber in the neck. A third one in the guys back.

If the robber was hit in the throat with a 9mm (or bigger) JHP and was still able to try to get away... damn.

I think the video demonstrates that if you can obstruct the sight of your Concealed Weapon long enough to draw before the thug shoots you may have a good chance of surviving. He seemed to use the others behind the counter to block the view while he drew his gun. Then went straight at the thug pulling the trigger. Smart!

A CCW instructor in Ohio did a second by second performance appraisal of this shooting.

I suggest you read this thread:
Pharmacist 1 Bad Guy 0, But lets break down the video.

The Pharmacist, in his adrenaline rush, made several errors but came out on top of the situation probably due to the goblin not expecting armed resistance. (My opinion, for what it's worth.)

If you are a CHP instructor or have occasion to teach handgun shooting for personal protection to friends or loved ones you might want to keep this video and comments as a teaching aid.

Now I'm curious; what does Proshooter think of the video, and the Ohio instructors breakdown?

Reading the comments section is hilarious with the one girl shouting "Justice for TJ" and trying to blame the pharmacist. Libs.....you can't break the idiot out of them.

The Pharmacist was interviewed on Fox&Friends this morning 2/23 at about 0728 on FoxNews network.

The video clip probably won't be available until 2/24.

I didn't notice those things until after I read the analysis and the watched the video again. He's lucky for sure.

The pharmacist seems like a nice, down to earth good guy. I am very glad it went the way it did.
