New .308

Picked up a Ruger American Predator last night. It's the newest offering in the American line. 18" heavy barrel, threaded. I put a Vortex 4-12 by 44 scope on it. Can't wait to site it in.

Can't wait to stretch its legs. I am gonna have to go to the new place so I can at least get out to 100 yards.

I have a shooting buddy that just bought the .308 ....I have the same in 30.06 . They both are a blast to shoot !

Nice looking rifle. I have a few of their pistols, but I don't know anything about the RAR. From the looks of a couple of these posts it sounds like it will be fun.

I was hot for one and was told to check out the Savage 11. Also has the floating barrel and scope package. I'm torn.

Both great products for sure... But to make the choice a like more difficult, Savage Arms is owned by
Vista Outdoor. The HQ is in VA and so is some of the manufacturing.

Ah. Forgot about this thread. Yes I took it down to Florida in March. It is a real nice shooter. Sighted it in at 100 yards.
