NFA Branch Reject SBR Form

I have a quick question. I had an eForm SBR request get rejected. The reason given was because the model on the form didn't match the model on the receiver. This sounds reasonable, but the actual model on the receiver is not available from the drop-down list.

How to I get past this? If I select "my model isn't listed" and type my actual model info in the form field, will the NFA branch accept that?

If the model isn't listed then I don't see what other choice you have. No doubt that ATF has run across the problem before.

Yes, they have to. You can also call to verify. contrary to public opinion, every time I've called, they have been responsive and helpful!

Sig 516 Patrol. The markings on the lower don't match anything in their DB. When I submitted it, they said the SN doesn't comes back as a 516 Patrol. They requested I email them pics of the engravings on the lower so they could confirm. They rejected the application because the images don't match the document submitted. I am going to type in the exact model as engraved since its not in the drop-down and resubmit with the photo to support it. Hopefully that will work.

Wow, so their database doesn't show your 516 Patrol SN as a 516 Patrol rifle? Sounds like Sig messed up with their documentation?
