Working with landowners to find shooting space

I live in Northern Virginia, and shoot at a couple of the indoor ranges around here. They are nice, but I've been missing outdoor plinking.
Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on how to contact landowners and arrange to shoot on their property? I'm willing to pay, barter, or exchange labor or work. Don't mind traveling for it. Any insight or direction would be greatly appreciated.
