No wondering! It's why I just keep my big mouth shut when people "church" it up about WWP.
There are many organizations doing much more for many more.

Only 48 to 58 cents of every dollar actually makes its way to wounded veterans and as you read above, that could be spent on trivial nonsense orchestrated to bolster the WWP and not necessarily help actual veterans who are in need.
Think about that though…for every dollar you give them as much as 52% of it goes to their overpaid executives in either salary (the CEO Steve Nardizzi makes $375,000 a year) or their corporate infrastructure that includes vacations, parties and events.
Never gave them a cent and never intended to. Much better charitable organizations out there. Try the Salvation Army.

I worry about this kind of stuff every time I get a telemarketer call from one of those Police, Fireman's, or Veteran's organization; asking for money; that I've never heard of.

I use Charity Navigator to see how organizations and foundations use the money I give away during the CFC events. Below is a link to how it shows Chesapeake Bay Foundation divvies up their collections as an example. Good tool to have if you're the charitable type, and helps make sure you know where your money is goin.

I find myself suspicious of most charitable organizations.
These days, I prefer to help folks individually and anonymously. I like to know how my charitable dollars are being spent. Sometimes, I know that if I give that homeless guy a couple bucks, he'll just go buy beer. That's ok, though. I might just save someone from getting mugged.

the only perspective I needed on them is they are anti-gun. I don't care what their public statements are on the matter, after the fact.
I care about what they DO. And when they turn down participation from the industry, and SPECIFICALLY state the reason they are not participating is they don't want support from the firearms industry.. that is clear enough to send my support elsewhere.
“While we appreciate the interest in having a WWP representative on your show on Veterans Day we are not able to participate in interviews or activities with media/organizations that are related to firearms,” said Ms. Coleman in her email.

Well, that's an interesting POV from folks who deal with people who dealt with guns as a career. Also, most of us gun folks are pro-support for Soldiers/Sailors.

My support goes to the in town homeless shelter and to Luke's Wings. Google them if you haven't heard about their works.
