I went looking for one a while back, couldn't find one, and got a Henry Mare's Leg instead. Now I'm considering a Charger anyway. Quick, talk me out of it!

Eh. I like the look and feel of the 10/22 as a rifle. As an oversized pistol with a scope and a bipod? I'm not going to be THAT guy at the range. Definitely not going to use it in the field.

Don't know SB... register it as an SBR and put a SlideFire stock on it... could be fun. LOL

Well yeah, but two things:
1. It then ceases to be a gigantic pistol with a scope and bipod which was my main criticism of the aesthetics. Just like I could never imagine myself shooting an typical AR pistol, but an AR pistol with a SIG brace is very cool to me.
2. If I go through the hassle to register anything as a SBR, it sure ain't gonna be a 22LR.

Hey, women and kids love shooting the Henry and they love shooting my 10/22 since I put an adjustable stock on it. This might be a great blend. I'm not just THAT GUY ,I'm the guy getting new shooters enthused about shootin'. Pumpkins and juice bottles beware!

the hassle to do my annual income taxes is greater than my NFA paperwork

Yes... and ironically... we should have to do neither.

I think it's a cost thing...
Personally? A .22LR SBR with a SilencerCo Sparrow? Yeeeaaaahhhhh. I would loooovvveee that!
Squirrels would shake at the mere mention of "Zip-Thwap"! (because that's all they hear before they die).
