I would not put someone below doing that sign though, that's how the American low-income populations mentality is quickly shifting to.

Mike Brown didn't commit aggravated strong-arm robbery. He was merely defending himself when assaulted for bumming a smoke. He was a good boy. And he was just exercising his right to free travel when that white cop was hunting black people. There was no reason for that cop to shoot him.

2-3 yrs ago a criminal was shot in self defense by a customer in the store he was robbing at gun point. While I grieve for their loss, the family complained that the customer had no right to shoot. Go figure.

Thankfully that sign was altered. But, what you don't hear about is that the community has supported the Officer and he has a large legal defense fund that he will also be able to use to start his life over and move. Heard it was about 2.3 mill.

Dude, I'm military. I AM low income. I find it "funny" that I gotta worry about my paycheck when homies sitting on their butts don't have to worry ain't their free handouts. I will call it like I see it.

I am military.
I am not low income.
I work with a lot of kids that ARE low income. Yes, they are kids to me. MY kids.
I wage a war against America's culture everyday by espousing values such as, "Own Your Work" and "Show Integrity - Do the Right Thing, esp. when nobody is looking".
The Nation asks a LOT from our young service members, even while rolling back maintenance and manning dollars to deal with bulshit budget issues such as Sequestration and Continuing Resolutions. Much more than a typical civilian would put up with in a normal 9-5 job.
All that to say that VACoastie's comment is nowhere near "Pot calling kettle black." In fact, I would qualify him as a Subject Matter Expert.

Well, that's two fully qualified SMEs against one anonymous [what to call him - we don't know anything about him. Is he a left-wing troll, a member of a "community organizing" unit, a young college graduate with his ears still ringing from the brainwashing?].
I vote with the SMEs. What do we call the willfully dependent underclass whose entire ethos is based on entitlement, envy, and resentment? "Low-income" might not be the correct term - perhaps too broad and possibly including the hard-working low-income folks who won't stay there long...but we know what Coastie meant.

@WellArmed: We are generally a welcoming group of folks, and we are open to considering other view points, most of the time. Also, we enjoy yanking eachothers chains from time to time. But, I would suggest to you that hurling insults at well liked and highly respected members of the forum may not be the best way to win friends, or influence us.
