http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/ ... story.htmlRick Santorum won primaries and caucuses in 11 states in 2012, coming in a respectable second in the GOP presidential primary season. And Republicans have a history of bestowing their nomination on the next guy in line, usually an also-ran from the last contest.

Yeah, but if Republicans continue their tradition of next guy in line, he may very well be the nominee.
What chance does Kucinich (or Alan Grayson, another comparison I've heard) have?

Re: Rick Santorum is running for president again
He is a nice guy, but not nearly a strong enough candidate. For an R to win they need an angle. He doesn't have that.
Rand Paul has an angle. He is libertarian enough to attract a few more from the independent fold. Chris Christie (though I DO NOT want him) has a liberal angle. Even Rick Perry has an angle in economics, and border issues.
Santorum is in the same boat as Sam Brownback....I like them, they are nice guys, they are not going to win primaries or general elections.

Santorum would have been a serious contender in the 1980's when the Moral Majority were doing their thing.
Nowadays he'd win the votes of the people who were going to vote against Hillary no matter what, and thats about it.

And if that's not enough to convince you that Hillary Clinton could win in 2016, there's this...
