Reporting to Ft. Eustis this January, a couple questions if anyone can help. Shooting ranges in the area? How far of a drive should I expect to get to some hunting land? I read no hunting on Sunday.... Is there state land (public hunting land) to hunt on? thanks

Welcome to the area! I'll let those in that area direct you to shooting ranges. Hunting on Sunday just became legal, on private land. Make sure you read the regs pretty carefully, some of our wardens can be pricks, but generally if you treat them with respect, it will be returned. Plenty of hunting land out here. Just head fer them thar hills!

I believe Ft. Eustis has a firing range. There is also the Marksman in Newport News. Lafayette Gun Club is in Grafton but it's a private membership club.
