For those that haven't heard, SEG is holding our third annual zombie house and the theme this year is Take Back DC. If you haven't had the opportunity to use the scenario area, now is your chance! You’ll use a real Glock that has been modified to fire non-lethal Paint Marker rounds.

Zombie House: Take Back DC is an interactive zombie experience that uses role-players to create a one of a kind zombie shoot. The role players will not be shooting back at participants. Register by yourself or form a team in advance.

Really?
We (firearms owners) spend a significant amount of time and money to present ourselves as responsible, well trained,
adults. And now these yahoo's want to put on a "zombie shoot" where, for only $99, you can pump simunition into another human being dressed up like a zombie. Heaven save us from ourselves. :dunno:

It's live fire training with a twist. What's the big deal?

Having done kill houses before, I can say they're a lot of fun and you learn a lot from them. The ones where people shoot back are even more intense. I think it's a great marketing campaign and wish SEG the best of luck.

I have come to the conclusion that the term "zombie" is a code word for "democrat", "Obama Voter", or "Hillary Supporter", etc.

Probably better to advertise a Zombie Hunt, as opposed to a hunt for Friends of Bloomburg.

Lol, Marc. Marketing, my friend. Good marketing.

My mother used to work for a marketing genius, and I used to do side work for him, and hung out with him regularly, for a short period of time.

I learned a lot from him. Shame he turned out to be such a raging liberal. He went off the deep end, right around the time that GW was running for his second term.

There is a fine line between genius and insanity. Sometimes those lines blur. Glad you learned the fun stuff and left the crazy behind. LOL

As I have said elsewhere, zombies can be of diverse origins such as:

Viral
Supernatural
Nanotech
Entitlement

Guess which type I prep more seriously for/

Sounds to me like a bunch of fun. If you think about it all it is is paintball in a shoot house. And yes before you ask I am a big supporter of shooting folks with paintballs I used to do it a lot and had great fun back in the 80's and 90's with it.

They are definitely not hurting business. The previous times they've done this I believe it sold out. Good training opportunity made into something fun.

I hate anything with zombies - it's a form of left handed PC as far as I'm concerned. And if folks want to do some force-on-force shoot house training, having targets that shoot back is essential. Although this event may well strike many as fun, it's not a good training opportunity at all, at least not in my opinion.

I'm not into the whole zombie thing either. It does give people who normally just shoot at a stable target at the end of their lane a chance to practice shooting while moving and at something that is moving. The "targets" don't need to shoot back to make it useful to someone.

This is Desiree from SEG. We use the scenario area for formal training too. The zombie shoot is an once a year fun event and sells out each year. In fact, we had to add more spots this year due to the interest. We understand that zombies are not for everyone. I would love to hear any suggestions regarding formal training or other fun shoots.
