Fall Turkey Hunt

My brother and I have never been hunting. I have a few guns and am somewhat of an avid shooter. This year a turkey hunt has sparked out interests and we are going to get in a hunter safety course. What I'm looking for is possible inside places to hunt in the Virginia area. We are somewhat familiar with GWNF and the OHV trails. Hunting is good there from what I here and I think thats where we will start. We have most of the stuff we need but the dilema is WHERE??? If anyone could help us out or point us in somewhat of a right direction it would be much appreciated! Thank you !

Chris

 INTRO... I am Chris, I am 23 years of age living in good ol Manassas Virginia. I shoot maybe once or twice every couple months...just purchased my first glock. Other toys include Remington 870, Ruger 10/22, Marlin 22lr, Ruger .45, Glock 23, and a Marlin .17 HMR. I was looking at trying my luck at hunting for first time with turkeys. I am somewhat familiar with George Washington National Forest down near the Edinburg area off of I-81. Just looking for some tips or possibly some good areas to start. Thanks

From Edinburg go south on 81 to Mt. Jackson. Take 263 west to Bayse/Orkney Springs. South of Orkney is the Runions Creek section of GWNF with Little North Mountain to the east and mountain seperating Va. from WV to the west. Great area for deer, turkey, and hiking. I hunt on east side of Little North Mountain from Runions Creek on a family owned farm with plenty of game around.
