I bid on this pistol by accident on Gunbroker.com, I wanted another one but for some reason I clicked on this for starting Bid price, no other bidders.
A re-arsenaled Remington Rand 1911A1 with an HS barrel, correct 1943 serial number, "FJA" and ordinance stamped on the frame. Great gun, now here's the bad news. Someone stippled the frame on grip.

Not a great collector item but a good shooter..

Man, I love that pistol. It was nice... maybe not high-end collector material, but a hellofa nice pistol. I would CC it if I owned it. Of course, I'd have to tote a couple spare mags in case a random gun battle breaks out during my weekly grocery shopping... but hey. It would be well worth it. LOL

Seriously, It is a nice piece.
