The biggest reduction came from Rep. Bill Huizenga (R-Mich.), who proposed a whopping $788 million cut from the IRS’s $5 billion tax enforcement budget.
THEY HAVE A $5BILLION ENFORCEMENT BUDGET?!?

This makes me feel like the pregnant cheerleader: I’m still all for our team, but I just can’t bring myself to jump up and down and cheer.
Even if the republicans do take the Senate, what this move (of which I HEARTILY approve) will most likely bring us (unless the republicans win big enough to have a veto-proof Congress or some democrats grow some brains and some b@lls) is another government shutdown drama. Both houses may pass bills with deep spending cuts. Then the Obamunist will veto the appropriations bill, cut the services worst that hurt the general public the most, and blame the mean old republicans. And when it all ends with some sellout “compromise” the gutless Congress will back up and pay the bureaucrats for NOT working. I’d grit my teeth and support a government shutdown for as long as it took if Congress would stick to its guns. It is way past time to drastically contract the federal government, and that can’t be done without reducing their payroll. What do you think the odds of that happening are?

Considering the increase in the "takers" versus the "makers"? I ain't holding my breath for a Congress change....
However, wouldn't it be AWESOME, and if they CUT the Fed workers instead of FURLOW!?!?
Oh MY!
