Re: Target- No open carry
Just saw this on NBC's site. Their article wasn't very clear as to whether it was an outright ban or just a ban on OCing. At this point based on the 2 articles I've seen I'm going to assume that the ban only applies to OC. They need to clarify their new policy (unless I'm misreading or missing something somewhere).

Re: Target- No open carry
On the one hand, it pisses me off to see Target pandering to the anti-gun hysterics. On the other hand, if I had a retail establishment I would definitely not want a bunch of obnoxious and irresponsible dumbasses waving AR-15s around in my customers' faces just because they want to show the world they can. Maybe I'd institute a rule that anyone handling or displaying a firearm in an manner deemed in the sole opinion of management to be offensive, provocative, ostentatious, or otherwise lacking in the restraint and discretion expected among responsible members of the gun culture would be asked to leave the premises.
My sign on the door might read: "WE BAN DUMBASSES, NOT GUNS."

Gun-crazy? Me? I'd say the gun-crazy ones are the ones that don’t HAVE one.

Re: Target- No open carry
They're doing the same thing Starbucks did - basically asking that you not OC.
Re: Target- No open carry
Members of the group claim they are going back anyway. I see a confrontation with police if they actually try.
I wish these idiots would just go away, they make us all look bad.

I'll continue to patronize Target till they post a no guns signs. If they go that rout they will lose my money.

The head of the TOC group was on Tom Gresham's show a couple weeks back. He clearly had no idea how national politics and the media work. These attention-grabbing stunts hurt us and the anti-civil rights groups just keep laughing.

That's not what it reads. In no place in the CEO's missive does it say or imply that. Guns, concealed or open, are not welcome at Target.allingeneral wrote:They're doing the same thing Starbucks did - basically asking that you not OC.
