DSA FAL
No, I have no gun porn, but I just picked up one of these yesterday. Anyone know of accessories that I absolutely must have with this rifle? Thanks.

Re: DSA FAL

Start with tons and tons of ammo, install a recoil buffer, pick up a good sling, a scope if you want to stretch her legs, and then tons and tons of more ammo!
Oh, and

Re: DSA FAL
A'ight Recoil Buffer. Got it.
Any one got a lead on inexpensive FAL Metric Mags? Cheaper-Than-Dirt has them for less than everyone, but that would be like screwing a dirty vegan hippie. Sure I'm getting something good, but it just would weigh too heavy on my soul.

Gun Shows for magazines?? I bought several for mine at either the race track or the show place years ago.
The FAL, in my opinion, is a very good rifle. If I'd bought a FAL 30 years ago I might never have bought an M1A. After shooting both, I can't honestly argue the M1A is better.
I dont' much care for the scope mounting systems on the FAL but then a lot of people don't like the scope mounting system on M1As (though I've never had an issue with mine).
Both will get the job done if you know how to use them.
Around here, I'm not sure you need a high power scope (after all, how far can your really shoot??). My FAL had a SUIT on it. I liked the SUIT but the rivets in the mount kept working loose, so I had to take it off (its on an AR15 now - I really like the SUIT). We put a scope on it but I was never thrilled about the clamping system used to hold the scope/mount/top cover to the upper receiver. If I was going to put an optic on mine now, it would probably be a 1X4 scope, or a red dot (aimpoint or something similar).
Good luck with yours. Oh, GI M14 magazine pouches work fine with FAL magazines. You can get them at the Richmond Gun Shows, too.

Buffer is on order. No gunshows for awhile. Mags are definitely on the top list!
However, I can tell you that Beez Combat Systems has a 762 Chest rig that works for ALL MANUFACTURERS! Yeah, it's a lil' expensive, but I've gotten one I paid for, one given, and both are unbelievable in ease, and wear!

What model did you get? I've always thought their sbr's and Belgian models were pretty sexy.

DSA SA58 Fixed stock; 18" bi-pod cut barrel, with bi-pod YHM phantom flash hider, DS Arms speed trigger upgrade.
Found three mags at Dances, because someone traded a Pre-ban FAL in... and they were asking $4k for it.
Um... yeah, I paid a quarter of that total, and with a trade in safe queen I hadn't shot in 20 years, less than $700 outta the truck fund.

Rev, just buy the mags from cheaper than dirt, leave a bad review of the place, and call it even.
Re: DSA FAL
There is a great polymer magazine for them; called Moses Mags. The guy who developed them has really done his homework and they seem to be top notch.
