With the release of the first episode of the Defending Our America series titled “Know Your Enemies and Know Yourself” the National Rifle Association (NRA) puts itself at the forefront of the shills for tyranny and empire.

This person mixes some valid points of the war on drugs and the police state, tacks on a flimsy or non-existent NRA association (I still don't know how the NRA is involved), and slaps "libertarian" in the blog title. Oy vey!

Along with the lack of a direct tie to the NRA being responsible for corruption or tyranny in the government, something else that has me a bit upset is saying...
Follow the money. It comes as no surprise that the series is sponsored by Sig Sauer a supplier of weapons to law enforcement and the military. It is obviously important to Sig Sauer that the people support the gravy train they're riding. Hey, who cares about liberty when there's government money to be had?
There are over 140 million more private citizens buying weapons than law enforcement and military combined. How the hell can you justify using a paragraph to say that they are a war profiteers? That is just ridiculous.
If Lowe's or Home Depot sponsored the event, would they put the same twist on it? I mean, all that personal property damage that needs to be fixed after the police bang your door down and trash your house to issue a lawless no-knock warrant. No wonder a home improvement store is endorsing this behavior! Keep the gravy train flowing!

Watch the NRA's videos I linked to & you'll see the association.

Darren, I know that's your site, so going to ask if you have any further linkage other than that presented?

Good luck getting an answer.
Appears VGOF User Darrenlobo is Darren Wolfe, author of the article linked in his O, the website has only the one entry. All the searches I did for 'The International Libertarian' come back to his site.
Another Keyboard Kommando with an agenda.

No. "Publishing" in a "vanity press" blog is no more meaningful than on your own.

A whole bunch of fearless Keyboard Kommandos that no one ever heard of; espousing opinions and unfounded stuff from all over the idealogical map.
Sure hope the Keyboard Kommando visitors from the great Northeast don't get into too much of a habit of visiting us.

Now that you've tried to dismiss why don't you try discussing?

No, you wrote that article as well. What I am asking for is substantiated data beyond that you presented.

Because, Darren, your poorly-written screed isn't worth discussing. You're a bad-faith waste of time.

Sounds to me like Mr. Wolfe may not stand for, or believe in, the Constitution. If not the Constitution, then what is to be the guide-rail for a civilized society?
Something else the founders realized was that concentration of power, which would be a result of adoption of the Constitution, carries with it the evil of coercive abuse. That fact is all too clear today.
As society progresses (or regresses) we will continue to see an erosion of liberty and freedom brought about by the stupidity of the voters. People are more uninformed today than ever before, and more easily convinced of the need for the government to provide for their every need. The government is only too happy to oblige.
Don't blame this on the government or any other group Mr. Wolfe. Lay the blame squarely where it belongs, on the people.
