Rimfire scope recommendations

I have a Sears Mod 25 rifle that I'm looking to mount a scope on. I've been looking at the Tasco 4x scope and what I like about it are the price, low profile, and the price (a major selling point with the CFO of the house). However, what I REALLY don't like is the 3/4" MOA adjustments. While I'm not anticipating to do anything more than plinking, Appleseed shooting or critter population control, I'd really prefer something that I can adjust to 1 MOA.
So what I think I'm looking for is a scope like the Tasco - 4x power, low profile, lightweight, low cost - but with the ability to adjust in 1/4" MOA increments. Open to suggestions or recommendations - not an overly experienced scope shooter.
