The Arsenal 2011A1 double barrel 1911 showed up. He let he hold it and take pictures of it. Not sure when we''ll go shoot it. I'll have to post twice to get all 6 of these pictures up.

We may have to invent new adjectives to describe how cool that is.

It came with what they call an "American Rig" holster that nobody seems to remember ordering, so not sure if it's standard. They also sent the dealer an e-mail today saying they'd forgotten the "double mag pouch" and would be sending it right away. Since it didn't come with a spare mag, I guess somebody will have no choice but to order one of those, too. The grip feels a lot fatter than I expected it to. But let's face it; this thing is a closet queen and a collector's dream. It will be shot seldom and carried never (except maybe to a VCDL meeting or perhaps to the GAB on legislative day). It's like I told the employee at the dealer who was saying "that gun will never catch on": Anybody who buys one should hope not. The fewer they make the better the ones who did buy them will like it.

I thought the essence of a .45 ACP was that you only have to shoot em once.

I would like to give it a go in an action pistol match since two shots per target is the norm - might be a game changer.
