Signs go up in Manassas Mall

According to the wife, a few weeks ago (or thereabout) there was some gang violence (MS-13) at Manassas Mall. We go there fairly frequently, despite the need to avert one's eyes at the Victoria's Secret/PINK/kiddie porn shop. I planned to continue going there so long as I could be armed to protect myself and my family.
But it looks like the management's idiot idea is to put up new "code of conduct" signs that include forbidding weapons for anyone except LEOs.
That's simply stupid. Yes, I know I'm preaching to the choir.
Thankfully this does not appear to apply to Wal-Mart, or I'd be out of places in Manassas I can afford to shop.

FWIW, here's the mall's contact information. It's run by the Pyramid Management Group.

I'm wrote in to protest.

Those MS13 lads are all good law-abiding young men. I'm sure they will just leave their weapons at home while shopping. I guess that makes me a criminal because I'll be armed and ready regardless.

Same here. My clearance will be fine with a trespass charge, should they be so inclined.

MS13 are cockroaches and should be exterminated. In a proper American state, sheriffs would have deputized posses to drive them out a long time ago.

Hey, Marc. That's not the wording that is on their signs at the mall. There it says that the only exceptions are for law enforcement specifically.
UPDATE: I've emailed the mall to ask about the discrepancy and for a plain answer to whether concealed carry is allowed.

I've been there several times since this thread was created. I was looking for the signs and did not see one either. Once I went in via Macy's one day and another time I used the entrance between Macy's and IHOP.

I don't know about those entrances, but the one next to Wal-Mart and the one where the tobacco shop used to be still have them with the "LEO only" language.
No response from Pyramid Management on their actual polices.

Huh. Not sure what to make of that. I can says, that the signs don't carry the force of law if not posted at every entrance. If they don't want us their, they would have to figure out we are CC'ing, and then tell us to leave.

Just leave when they ask. They cannot force a "trespass" charge if you're LEAVING!
Also, if you go through another entrance, you can claim you didn't "see" the sign. Again, just leave when they ask.
SouthPark Mall has that same stupid sign, but doesn't apply to Dick's Sporting Goods. (shrugs) Just saying.

I went to Manassas Mall today. I OC'ed the whole time. No one said anything.
I am disabled, so walking from store to store doesn't really happen for me. Cycling through the stores, I used the entrances by Sears, Target, and JC Penny. No signs could be found saying no firearms or weapons. I specifically went out of my way to look for them.
I figured if it was a problem, OC would definitely get attention. Spent a total of two hours in Macy's, Penny's, Payless Shoes, and kinda window shopping. Outside of two guys speaking Spanish and saying to each other that my gun is probably fake, no one else commented to me or around me.
Figured I would share my experience.

I usually use the entrance by Wal-Mart, and there was a sign there entitled "Rules for Mall Behavior" or some such high-handed nonsense.
Maybe those are the only people they don't want carrying.

But that sign, as well as the website, say illegally possessed weapons.
Specifically
"No Weapons Allowed. The possession of any weapon, unless authorized by local, state, or federal statue, is prohibited."
I am not illegally in possession of or carrying my weapon. I am authorized under state and federal statute to openly carry a weapon and conceal carry a handgun in the state of Virginia (and many others). Therefor, I can legally carry my weapon in the mall.

Found this - thought it would be good to share. Click Mall Policies at the top for more information:

I also learned that Valley View Mall Roanoke, Va does not allow guns at all - very high crime area.
Still looking for information on Tanglewood Mall in Roanoke, Va.
On Edit: just found this:

The one by Wal-Mart says, "The possession of any weapon, other than by law enforcement personnel, is prohibited." I've got a picture of it, but I don't know how to post those on BB code boards.
