Unless I'm going crazy there used to be a button above the edit area of the post window to embed a YouTube video in a post.
It's disappeared.
What happened?

I could never get it to work right, but about a week or two ago a post was put up that you didn't need to use it and I finally figured out how to use it. Find the youtube video you want to use, I will give you an example. Cut and paste the URL from the top. After the .com/ this video is: watch?v=J7ll4OKkvPU
That video should satisfy the Hotrod Lincoln and kreutz will see a little of Long island too...

AH HA!!!
It's still available! it is just not shown in the commands above the edit box since "pre" and "tweet" were added.
The syntax below still works (with square rackets, of course)
{youtube}J7ll4OKkvPU{/youtube}

You no longer need the BBCode [youtube] to post videos. Just paste the full url and the video will embed itself.

Is there a location on this site where one can test the posting before actually posting?
Not sure what I will get here but might (?) help.

All that should need to be done is post the url of the video like any other link. If you want it centered, wrap the url in the center tags like this:
allingeneral - what happened to the other postings that were in this thread? Am I possibly blocking something I shouldn't be? I thought the thread was started by someone else but I just see 2 of 2.

I had had a setting of Display post from previous: 1 month. I changed it to 1 year, refreshed the page but it did not update...now I see the go button at the end which actually performs the update. Sorry to bother...I'm still learning
