I'm just putting it out there...
I remember being taught "Make things easier for those who do things for you, and they're apt to repeat their actions with great fervor."
So I ask, what will it take for the last azzhat who takes the last cup of coffee to make another pot? It's super easy, my company even put instructions on the WALL...
Really. You took the last cup, make the next pot. I drink about 2 pots a day, I'm tired of being "coffee boy".
I keep something called "Good Kitchen Etiquette":
-If you're making a sandwich, ask if someone wants one, making two is as easy as making one.
-If someone is making food for you, THANK THEM! And don't complicate things.
-If you're taking up your dishes, takes someone elses.
-Don't eat the last of something someone else bought.
-If you're cooking, you don't clean. If you're eating, but not cooking, you're cleaning.
-If you throw something out because it's bad. Tell someone. (BIG TIME NEEDED IN MY HOUSE!)

Our etiquette was that the person wanting a fresh cup of coffee should make the coffee. The person taking the last cup should clean the pot. That way, on days you are not there the coffee won't go stale while no one is drinking it.
The fridge got cleaned out one day per week...everybody knew that and planned around it.

I know of a certain state agency office (employing mostly women, by the way) that once complained that their office was a "sick building" and the state needed to break their lease and get a new office because of the persistent bad odors that were evidence of the bad air that was making them all sick. They called in the DEQ inspector to prove their case for a new office. Some of them claimed they already had lawyers lined up to sue. The inspector gave the building a clean bill of health; except that he told the bureaucrats that they absolutely HAD to clean the refrigerator in their employee lounge and get rid of all that molded and rotten food that was polluting the air and stinking the place up. There was stuff in that fridge that had been there for months. Inspector actually threatened to write the agency up for it. Told them they had to clean it up before the end of the day and then once a week thereafter. True story, I swear.

Here? We have a cleaning crew that cleans the pots in the evening. So in effect, the last person taking the coffee should be the first person making the next pot.
I talked to the guy who stocks the galley... He said "if coffee packet usage is any indicator, ya'll go through 15 pots of coffee a day. Ya'll are in the top 10 for the whole company for coffee."

Another etiquette point, this one related to bathrooms...
We have three #2 stalls in our bathroom at the office. It drives me crazy if I'm sitting on one of the end stalls, both other stalls are open, and some douchebag comes in and sits in the stall next to me instead of going to the opposite end. Invariably, he starts releasing in a totally obnoxious manner before even getting seated. There's just no reason for it.
The same is obviously true for the urinals, though we only have two of those at the office, so whatever.

WHO THEY HELL IS SO IMPORTANT THEY CANNOT TAKE A DUMP WITHOUT CALLING SOMEONE!?!?
TIME AND PLACE PEOPLE! TIME AND PLACE!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA...!!
Ive always put separation between myself and others at the urinals. Was just always an unspoken etiquette in my opinion. NO I don't want to have a conversation with you or anyone while I have my unit in hand. The sink, if anyplace at all..... is where you have a conversation in a restroom...lol.
Never had to deal with the #2 biz in a public restroom.... Im OCD about dumping in familiar pots

Ive had a few emergency situations in my life, & was fortunate that it wasn't a busy can. Not sure how I would react to someone striking a conversation in the stall next to me, especially if I didn't know them. Fortunately, it's never happened, & hopefully, it wont...

I've always considered that if you can't arrange to do your #2 bidness at home on your own pot 99.999% of the time, you ain't totally toilet trained. JMO.

Obviously, you've never eaten my chili...
(shakes head) It's why I load a crapton (pardon the pun) of cheese in it.

Now, Dorm...
I am in Washington state, and won't be home for a while. Further, I end up eating from truckstops and roach coaches right frequently. How in the samhell you expect anyone to arrange for at home #2 bidniss, under those circumstances?
As to the coffee, in the rare occasions I actually am at "the office", I would gladly make another pot after taking the last of it, but dispatch likes to hoard the coffee grounds.

Tomorrow? I am making a poster of "Terry Tate: Office Linebacker" with his line "YOU KILL THA' JOE? YOU MAKE SOME MO'!"
and putting that in the galley!

There are always special cases, SHMIV. But yours is indeed an onerous burden. Next time some trucker cuts me off so he can make me follow him up a hill 10 mph slower than I was going while he passes someone at 1 mile an hour faster than the vehicle he's overtaking, instead of saying, "that guy's an AZZhole", I'll say, ""that guy's an AZZhole, but he lives a tough life".

In the stall at work, vendor comes in and sits in the stall next to me. He's loudly talking on the phone, and sounds like a real jerk, bragging about sales and talking trash about his coworkers. I finish what I came to do, and the toilet flushes - we have auto-flushers. The guy actually says, "Hold on, this &^#( next to me just flushed the toilet." I waited on him and calmly told him to learn some manners. Best part... I go to my next meeting with a vendor's new account rep... and it's the same guy.
Sometimes being a rude, uncultured piece of work has consequences!

There are only two urinals in any of the men's rooms where I work. If someone is at one of them, I try to just pop into a stall. There's an HR manager that is, I'll just say odd for the sake of being PC. He's pretty tall and reminds me of Mr. Mackey from South Park with his physique and speech. He walks into the restroom a few steps behind me and goes to the urinal next to me. Then he proceeds to stare at me over the divider with this goofy look and ask me questions the entire time we're there. I made sure to always hop in a golf cart and head to the far restroom from then on. Once I got the code to the locked and rarely used, but often cleaned, restroom/shower for company OTR drivers, I never looked back.

Can't say I ever worried much about using a fixture next to another one, unless there was a particularly rank miasma emanating from one. I've seen a few "urinals" around here that were .... well ..... communal. Like a big, long porcelain sink set about knee high on the wall that 5-6 guys could line up elbow-to-elbow and pee in simultaneously. Primitive, maybe, by the high standards of the more genteel parts of Virginia, but it keeps your shoes (mostly) dry. Folks hereabouts very studiously avoid violating each other's space when they're doing their bidness, but everybody knows it's a job that everybody's gotta do by and by. Old-fashioned, I guess.
