That kind of excitement I could do without!

Yikes! I was just at Dominion on Saturday with my wife. That could have been the end of my wife going to the range with me.

Re: Exciting Evening
I was wondering about this the other day.
If I understand correctly (and I may not) I cannot hand my full auto weapon, or suppressed weapon to my son or my wife at the range and let them shoot it as their name is not on the tax stamp (unless I have a trust and have them named on it).
So how does a range "rent" a full auto weapon to a patron and hand it to them to shoot?
Maybe I don't understand the law, just curious.

Many don't understand the law. In your scenario, their use under your supervision does not constitute a transfer.M1A4ME wrote:Maybe I don't understand the law, just curious.
Allowing them access to keys or combo to your safe and leaving them at home (with the NFA items) while you're at work, however, does allegedly create "constructive possession". This, to me, is among the most practical reasons for a trust.

This is why I've thought about soft body armor for the range… I've been covered several times (albeit through the clear partition)

I know several people who sport 3A's at the range because of stupid stuff. They don't make em' in quadruple fatass or I would wear one myself.

Re: Exciting Evening
I beg to differ Marc, they DO IN FACT make a 3A level in QUADRUPLE FATASS....
I've seen the Mall Cops wearing them. DuPont pays for yacht based on "QuadFA's" needing THAT much kevlar.
I've thought about getting one myself for that very reason.

I'm with Snakester. I'm fortunate enough to have a friend with enough land to shoot.

Re: Exciting Evening
BOTH!
I wouldn't mind having a 3A for shooting even on private land. Some guns have kBooms. Between the hearing protection, eye protection. Maybe keepin' the vitals safe couldn't hurt.
