Hi.
I just joined this bulletin board.
I have been shooting for a couple of years (started after my retirement).
I do target shooting and plinking in my backyard range up to 80 yds, backed by a hill. Thus far I have been shooting rimfire with a 22lr rifle, a 22lr pistol, and a 17hmr rifle.
Although I mostly hit gongs and cans and paper, etc; there is a fat ground-hog that lives back there and several times I have been shooting over his head as he forages in the grass. He just ignores me until I walk back to check scores and reset targets. One of these days, I will probably give in to the urge to send a couple of rounds his way.
