I love how people always claim the false statment that red light cameras decrease accidents; they actually cause more accidents from people slamming on their brakes at the red light.

I can't remember what state's DOT (I want to say TX) it was that did a massive study on intersection accidents and the only thing they concluded was that increasing the yellow light's interval by 2 seconds drastically decreases the number of accidents in any intersection.

Doesn't work.

I like Gordon Ramsey's idea on "Top Gear". You sneak up, take muddled clear tape, wear a mask, and cover the camera.

If you do that CONTINUOUSLY, I'm sure they're going to "stake it out", but can you picture what would happen if it happened to ALL the cameras? In one NIGHT!

That's organized CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE! If you want to pull someone? PULL THEM! But that sh't right there? You can be ticketed on whatever light they say, how can they prove it?

It's a REVENUE GENERATOR! An "illusion of safety", as I call it. Like TSA, VA State Troopers, and DUI check points.

I agree with Reverend, it's a revenue generator. Just like DC's parking tickets. You can't walk far without seeing a parking meter person.

Why don't we just shoot them out?

couple of tires at the base, a bit of diesel, and the camera should be no more.

Or hit the lens with a paintball gun. Make it one of those pepperspray paintballs so it won't be an easy cleanup.

How about a laser pointer. The camera is using a CCD so the laser should fry it rather quickly.

All i know is this... if we're THIS guerilla over speed cameras...

God Forbid when the guv'mint makes us ACTUAL outlaws for owning weapons, and having free ideas, and such...
