Forgive me if this has been asked or covered before. I searched & couldn't find what I was looking for precisely.
Im under the impression that if you have a CHP you can carry on DGIF land, whether actively hunting or not. Am I wrong..?
Example being.... out cutting firewood, or just actively enjoying a DGIF access area.

Im following this myself for clarification, though its hard to get a law answer here, most want you to hire a lawyer... even if they know the answer it may be hard to get (on the forum).
But from what you are saying, that is also my understanding... however I think it is supposed to be concealed and not open.
I still believe we should have the privilege of constitutional carry, but since we dont... its wise to get familiar wiith the law(s) and stay within it.

reference here for the screenshot above.
I don't know the definitive answer, though it seems like they follow state preemption and a CHP holder can carry anywhere on DGIF land.
If I'm wrong, I hope someone will say so. (IANAL!)

According to that, yes you can carry. I wish these jack legged lawyers would write in plain english so it's to the point and easily understood.

I emailed the DGIF a while ago about this before my wife and I started hunting. If you have a CHL, you can carry that weapon - concealed - on DGIF/WMA land. I didn't bother asking about open carry.
