I am glad this worked out for the Hero who stopped these 2 thugs (Oh I mean Good Boys that would never harm a soul). The Castle Doctrine saved the hero from being sued as it was deemed justifiable by the DA and it helped he had witteness and video to back him up.

Dead dude's mom wrote:
"He's not no thug or no big hard criminal or nothin' like that"
"Medina admitted that her son was a drug user"
"He was just robbing the store to pay his child support"
ELL OHHHHH ELL!!

Wise decision to play the victim card. It seems that our society honors victims and vilifies active defenders.

I think that the bad choice those 2 made is what lead to their current situation, no matter what their family said about them being "Good Boys".

Robbing the store to pay child support. .. yeah...
Hoss manure. Robbing the store to support a drug habit, more likely.
Those gathered family members didn't look all that wholesome, either.
I suspect that the shooter is fortunate that the robbers weren't a bit darker in complexion; then he'd have Sharpton, Jackson and company calling for his head to be delivered on
diamond encrusted gold platter.

If they'd have just left the scene, they'd have been in police custody and facing robbery charges.

That video is absolutely infuriating.
"The families of the would-be robbers say they are devastated that another man [Robber #3, the Getaway Driver] is now facing murder charges."
A candlelit memorial w/ stuffed animals for two armed robbers shot in the act?? Interviews with the families like they are the victims? Is everyone at WFMZ taking crazy pills? " Newsflash: "good men" do not rob convenience stores at gunpoint. WTF?

For the first time, since viewing that video. I want people sterilized, and euthanized. Sorry, but that's just a puddle of bullsh't in that video.

I do believe, that were I a store owner, and two
armed men robbed me, and were shot and killed in the process, I would not appreciate a shrine to their memories being erected in front of my store.
I suppose that, if I were not moved to simply throw that garbage away, I may see fit to place a sign in the window behind the shrine that said something to the effect of "Recently, two worthless thugs robbed this store at gun point, and were shot and killed as a result. Since we were not allowed to put the heads of those vile creatures on stakes by the front door of this establishment, please take this shrine as a warning. "
