Perhaps you should go roam about town some more. Specifically, the jewelry district. Something should follow you home from there, too.
"Look, Honey. These followed me home. I'll take care of this one, and you can see to that one"

My question would be WHY do you tell your wife? Bet she doesn't tell you about every pair of shoes. God knows SWMBO seems to have shoes and duds that either must be breeding like rabbits or she's keeping several rag shops in business. I don't ask and she don't tell. And what's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.

Yeah, they do tend to just follow us home like little lost puppies. Looks like you've got some 'splain'n to do.
That is a Raptor, isn't it?

Your new fling appears loyal and likes to mind it's own business. Tell your wife nothing.

That was pictured with PMC brass (gold) and the cheap tulammo ( sorry... Grabbed it quickly for the pics). Barrel is three inches.

A 1911 purchase is NEVER a bad purchase! Congrats...
Now, as was said before... some bling-bling for mama, to prevent an EXTENDED say in da dog house!

Loved the backdrop. Very creative. Cheap ammo or not.

I'm cracking up today. She saw one of the above pictures on my ipad of the gun in all it's glory, only mentioned how cool the picture was... Hrmmmm now if I could get away similarly with a Mosin Nagant.....
I will have to tell the poor girl at some point, but this is really funny!

So I told the wife today, thanking her for my early Valentine's present. It was pretty funny when I told her I've had it for a week and have been carrying it around - and she even saw the pictures of it a few days ago. Duped! She countered by saying, "there's a certain camera lens I've been wanting to get..." CURSES!
Range Report: Fired the first 100 rounds through it today - and OMG this gun is a dream. Just beautiful in it's handling. By far, the most comfortable .45 I've shot - felt much like my 9mm PPS.
Colin Noir mentioned about muzzle rise (see
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcqsUui7AyI ), I did not notice this at all - I was able to do rapid fire through the complete magazine while staying on target.
Somewhere around the 60th round, I had one FTE and that was the only failure. Will be keeping an eye on that, but I'm hopeful that it is only an effect of the break-in period or a fluke overall.
