Mobile mode...

Is there any way to not use mobile mode on a mobile device? If not, why not?
sometimes you want to yes the real site and most software has a link for 'full site' or some such, but I sure can't see it if it's there. Thanks!

The Chrome browser on Android devices has a "request desktop site" option.

On my Galaxy S3, I can hit the phone's menu button, and I find a box that I can check for desktop view.
It's the only way I can view many of the pics posted here.
