You gotta love it when your traps are full! Put out 4 sets night before last and would not wait to get out after work and check them. 4 sets 4 beaver. Got very lucky with the little one. #5 Bridger on the tail. :) Good to be lucky once in a while!!

This could be first thread ever with 'beaver' in the title AND pictures too, yet everyone is disappointed.

Since I don't know the first thing about beaver (the animal) trapping, what are you doing with them?

Judging by the way this thread was quickly turning, I felt it necessary to specify. :yankchain:

Pelts. They are averaging $30-$60. These guys messed up becasue they flooded a road to the back hay fields. The road is 3 feet under water.

The Muskrats should also have good thick fur this year as well. Not sure what they are going for now but when I used to trap back in the 70's as a teen the cold winters brought the best furs and prices. Are you only going for Beaver?

No I'll be also going after muskrats, mink, otter, coon, fox, yotes and bobcat. This was actually the first night I was able to get any traps set this year. Muskrats are projected to selli for $12.00 - $13.50 this year.

dark meat, more like goose...

Take care in prepping, avoid taint from the glands. It'll do if a feller's hungry.
