Hello all.
Moving to VA in 2 years. My wife and I just bought some decent sized acreage in Moneta.
Want to become familiar with the laws and see whats going on in the state Ill be moving to, and figured this was a good place to start.
Is it 2015 yet?

You're gonna love it, so long as the rules don't change. I'm an Oregonian that was converted back in the 90s!

to the club.
I live in Moneta. You'll love it here.
We have a good pistol club with a NRA endorsed range at the 4H camp.

Thanks everyone.
Moving from New York, and it cant happen fast enough. I've wanted out forever and now theres a light at the end of the tunnel.
Made a few trips down when looking for land and liked the area. Close to Smith Mountain Lake, and Im looking forward to building, working the land (gardens, livestock, etc),getting a few more dogs... and of course, shooting on my own property.

WOW! That's quite the difference.
Concealed carry permits take UP to 45 days not 1.5yrs, no registration, no cripple mags. Open Carry is ok. You'll be in America soon enough!

I was going through the laws last night.
Also looking forward those those Floyd friday nights.
Trying to convince my brother to come down - he's amazing on the banjo, and they'll be no shortage of musicans down here for us.
