Training
Training
I've searched Google and VGOF, but I can't find any firearms training that is going on in Virginia. I am not interested in the basic NRA courses, but something just a little more intense. If anyone knows where I can find practical pistol or carbine courses, I would certainly appreciate your help.

Some in these listings...they will populate better as the new year begins.

Definitely get in touch with proshooters (http://www.proactiveshooters.com. His pistol defense course has two levels, a full day for each, and a good amount of ammo expended. My wife and I took his course and loved it.
If you want total security, go to prison. There you're fed, clothed, given medical care and so on. The only thing lacking... is freedom.

I took a class from John Murphy last Fall, and would recommend it. Here is his website:

Find and shoot some IDPA matches.. Watch and talk to those better than you at the matches..
Re: Training
I've shot USPSA and really enjoyed it. I'll have to find some matches (USPSA or IDPA) in this area and that would be a wonderful opportunity.Rumson wrote:Find and shoot some IDPA matches.. Watch and talk to those better than you at the matches..
