I ran across one of those slide-show lists on Yahoo about TV/movie stars that had "come out" as gay. Most of them I didn't know and even fewer did I even care about. But three of them broke my heart:

Kelly McGillis
Jodie Foster
Gillian Anderson

Dammit.

Not surprising really. I don't know though, two things that have seemed to baffle me is how it is now the "in" thing to be either gay or a hillbilly.

*sigh* What happend to just being yourself and not looking for a label.

Because folks confuse labels with identity, probably. There is a need for belonging. That's how peer pressure works, too. Keep in mind we are predators, so there is still a semblance of a pack need.

Since they were confined to the real of fantasy for you anyway, now you can more convincingly fantasize about all three at the same time.

Jodie Foster didn't surprise me though. Dunno who Kelly McGillis is and Scully was definitely hot back in the 90's.

Ah, the sole respite from the unending and blinding homoeroticism in that movie does stand out.
