Ammunition in Dania Beach House Fire Was Close to Going Off: Official

Bullets in a Dania Beach house were close to shooting off when firefighters responded to a deadly blaze there this week, an official said.

More than 100 guns and case after case of ammunition were recovered from the house where Tad Vaughn died in a fire Wednesday. Authorities said they believe he killed himself.

"What we don't know, is what's contained in a person's home and that's one of the biggest dangers we have," Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue Assistant District Chief Bruce Caruso said.

Propane tanks were also found around the home, but firefighters say those weren't as big as a threat as the bullets that were seconds away from shooting off.

I agree they are spreading harmful misinformation in this case and that they do it way more often than not. On the other hand, if they only reported on stuff they really knew anything about, there'd be damn little reporting going on.

At some point, the people must come to a conclusion that the media is full of it, and usually, the truth is opposite that reported. When do people rise up. Lazy-assed jerks. Am I the only one who asks their legislators to propose/endorse truth-in-advertising laws?

Being a professional in the aviation industry, I cringe every time the media reports on an aircraft incident or accident. You guys obviously see the inaccuracies in this report. Think about these things next time they're reporting on something you're NOT as familiar with. They probably suck at just about everything they report on.

If most report as they are dictated by notes from the White House without question they have become Pravda.

I don't think it did local news very well either.

It stopped being news quite a long time ago. It is a form of entertainment.

All I can say to these fear mongering buttheads is that it is a fire which by nature is dangerous, if their viewers actually knew the amount of things that come and go every single day that could kill them that wasn't firearm related they'd curl into a ball and suck their thumbs. Why don't they talk about all the threats to the American people that the government detects daily....oh that's right they can't because the government told them they can't because if the people actually knew just how many enemy nations send people to kill and cause mayhem to the general population DAILY they would crap their pants and cry for mama!

If people actually stopped living in their dreamland and come to understand exactly what kind of world we live in the government wouldn't be able to process the amount permit applcations to buy machine guns they'd receive. If I could take the blue pill I would because that red pill is scary as F***!

Last year the agency I work for stopped over 115 known terrorist attempts against the US. That averages to about 1 every 3 days.

I won't ask but I understand MarcSpaz....

Many are working as we are to keep the country safe.

LOL... its the only reason I stay. As much as a tinfoil hat guy I am, I know they are doing something good too. It's important.

My brother is one of those people and he can't talk about it, everything he does is classified. But the stuff he could tell me was freaking scary, on both sides. I never take off my tinfoil hat because there are monsters in this world and they ain't undead.

Amen to that! I can tell you, some of this crap has me awake at night.
