Well, not enough of it for that, but we've got snow and sleet falling here. It won't stick, but it's the first of the season. Freeze advisory tonight, too. I could have waited another month on this. Dammit.

Yeah; I just saw some flakes in West VA. As I am headed to CO, I expect to see more. I saw some snow out in Wyoming a couple of weeks ago.

Looks like winter is coming. I love winter actually. Its a good thing.

Lol, Remek. You must not drive trucks. Snow has a negative effect on my finances. Plus, the cold is extremely painful for my back and knees. I've been anxiously awaiting June since the middle of August.

Thanks but I'll pass. After living 19+ years in the "Live, Freeze and Die" state before moving to VA, I've seen all the snow I ever care to.

I've gotten to an age where my fingers hurt in the cold, unless well protected, but it hasnt slowed me down yet. I hope it never does.
I think I like it because it reminds me of camping in the winter as a kid. The stone silence, save for the wind, no one around. Just you and nature. Fantastic!

The single best food I have ever eaten is a hot dog while ice fishing. Just fantastic!

Agreed with Remek on Winter Camp...
The fact that NOTHING can really sneak up on you because of the crunch of the leaves... no bugs, no snakes, and sitting by a roaring fire staying toasty warm, is just AWESOME!

Ahh picture it: its 20 degrees out when the sun peeks over the mountains. Your sitting there with the rifle across your knees leaning against a tree. Your lookin over the snow covered field and you spot "the buck". A massive 12 point youve been thinking about all year while your stuck in whatever hole your idiot boss put you in. You raise your rifle... you have the perfect shot... you gently squeeze the triger... Priceless!! Yes i love winter and snow!

There is nothing better than standing outside when it snows and all you hear is silence no cars no people it's as close to heaven as you can get.
Looks like Snowshoe in WV is making snow.
