Giddy up
Give it half a brain and a switchblade and we’re doomed
Already sounds like a government-funded project to me.

Don't know why they called it a wildcat. It reminded me of a hog; particularly when they first fired it up and it was bouncing from hind legs to front legs. (upon reflection, I reckon it was probably because those boys in Boston never saw a wildcat OR a hog. I thought to myself then that if they'd give it 2 tusks in front and teach it to plow up and ruin landscape by the acre, wild hogs would be obsolete.

They need to mount a Robonaut II on the front of that thing to create CentaurBot!

As for why it's named "Wildcat"? My guess would be that it's because it's lab-only shore-powered predecessor was "Cheetah". Since this one has internal power and can be taken to the field, I'm betting those punny enginerds declared this one to be a "wild cat", which stuck.

That's all supposition on my part, but I do have a good working knowledge of geek brains. :)

...brains!

Here's Cheetah running at a tad under 30mph:
