A pretend game of cops and robbers landed a Florida elementary school boy with a very real suspension after he made a pretend gun with his thumb and index finger.

The mother of 8-year-old Jordan Bennett said her son was only playing with his friend at Harmony Community School in St. Cloud. She fears his one-day suspension, which was handed down Friday, wrongly labels Jordan as a violent person.

I'm really surprised that parents aren't hitting school systems hard with teams of lawyers.

What blows my mind... a year ago my son got stabbed in the leg by another student with a pair of scissors and nothing happened to the other kid. The school told me that they talked to the other parents and child together and determined that it was a mistake and he was just playing. To make it worse, they refused to give me the child's name or the parents name so I could call the police and file a complaint. I talked to PWC PD and they said based on what the principle said that they had no reason to believe an assault took place and refused to do anything.

So... my kid actually get assaulted with a weapon in school. Attacker gets off the hook with zero corrective action.

This kid makes a gun shape with his hand... get suspended based on zero tolerance policy.

What am I missing?

What?! Finger pointing kid only got one day of suspension? He's lucky he didn't get a whole year...

Now back to your regularly scheduled indoctrination.
