Virginia Gun Owners Forum - VGOF

I recently moved to Henrico, so I'm not really familiar with the area yet. Anyone know of a list of Walmart stores around Central VA that sell firearms? I've searched all over the Walmart website and I can't find anything.

In GA, they never listed it. I haven't been to a Wally's since I've been here.

I don't know about the Walmarts in Henrico, but the ones near 288 & Hull St and the Chesterfield location on Rt 10 both sell rifles and shotguns. I think you can have other firearms ordered, but have never bothered to actually purchase a gun from Walmart.

I know that the walmart by southsquare mall sells guns.

I can't think of a walmart in Virginia, that I have been to, that doesn't sell guns.

Of the two near me:
The one just north of I64 on US15 does not.
The one on US29 north of Charlottesville does.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is defined as central VA?

Right? Well, the Walmart in Short Pump (which happens to be my nearest Walmart) only sells ammunition.

I'm thinking there's a Walmart store in Mechanicsville that sells guns.

Well at least that' my definition of it. If you want to get specific, it's where 522 and 33 intersect, a wide spot in the road known as 'Cuckoo' , where yours truly grew up... and yeah I'm a little bit tetched.

Not sure they sell guns in the Burke store. I know they don't carry any ammo, unless they keep a few boxes locked and out of sight because they have no ammo case.

The store on Rt.10 near Chesterfield has guns and ammo.

When we were in it last night the sale paper out front in the shelves is advertising two different brands of AR15's for sale (Colt and Diamondback) as well as a couple models of Mossberg tactical shotguns (one with a pistol grip).

I did not look at the guns section to see if they had any of those in stock but if they are advertising them they may be willing to order one for a customer that wants one.

They had some .223 and 7.62X39 ammo on their shelves the last time I was in there (a week or so back) so ammo is coming back as well.

Ah, okay. That might be a better choice for me. Probably closer and near some other stores that I like. Thanks!

He's correct! Short Pump Wal-mart and the one near Regency Square only sell ACCESSORIES!

Because they have a higher than average amount of Carpetbaggers, and Transplants, and if "offends them" to even SEE firearms!

Any where rural? Wal-mart has firearms.

Waynesboro has them. I believe Zions Crossroads does also.

If you're coming from Richmond, don't even bother trying to go up 29 to the Wallyworld in Cville.. Just keep truckin' to exit 94 and you'll get to Waynesboro before you could get to the Wallyworld in Charlottesville. C'villes City Clowncil is hellbent to keep that US Highway no better than a pig trail in their domain.

Culpeper, the new one on Rt 3 locust grove, and, I think, Ruckersville sell them.

Short Pump doesn't? Hell, Dulles Walmart sells guns. I think it's you Cental Virginians around the capital that don't like guns.
