New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who hates the liberty that Virginia's gun owners enjoy, continues to try to influence Virginia politics.

Six years ago he spent a lot of money and time promoting anti-gun Jeanmarie Devolites-Davis in her failed reelection to the Virginia state Senate.

Two years ago in 2011, Bloomberg contributed $25,000 to Democratic Virginia state Senator Mark Herring, an anti-liberty incumbent running for reelection at the time (and who ultimately was successful). Bloomberg claimed at the time that by supporting Herring, he was protecting gun control in Virginia.

Herring is now running for Virginia Attorney General.

Bloomberg recently had a one-on-one meeting in New York City with Terry McAuliffe, the Democratic candidate for Virginia Governor.

I guarantee that nothing good for Virginia's gun owners came out of that meeting!

Elections have consequences and Bloomberg wants to make sure that Virginia is under his thumb when it comes to his beloved gun-control agenda.

Do you want your elected officials to be nothing more than puppets of an out-of-state, anti-gun, tyrannical, control-freak billionaire?

Here is the story from 2011 on Herring's tidy little sum from Bloomberg (WARNING: For those of you who are tyrant-adverse, a stomach-churning photo appears at the top of the web page - you have been warned):

And here's information on the cozy little "birds-of-a-feather" meeting between McAuliffe and Bloomberg:

Terry McAuliffe meets with Michael Bloomberg
By MAGGIE HABERMAN

Democratic Virginia gubernatorial hopeful Terry McAuliffe recently met with New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg in an effort to get support from the billionaire politician, two sources familiar with the meeting told POLITICO.

The pair met in New York a week-and-a-half ago, according to the sources. Aides to McAuliffe declined comment, and a Bloomberg spokesman did not respond to an email asking about the meeting.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether McAuliffe was seeking an endorsement from Bloomberg — who has billed himself as an independent and whose backing has been helpful to candidates in some places in the Northeast, like Rhode Island — or whether he hoped for financial support.

The outgoing mayor has spent more than $15 million on his gun control group Mayors Against Illegal Guns and on a super PAC to support a candidate in a special House race in Illinois.

Because of those efforts, he’s become the face of the gun control movement, making him less of an attractive supporter in places like Virginia than more clearly Democratic-leaning cities or states. He could also be a helpful rallying cry for Republican nominee Ken Cuccinelli with his base voters.
